At Agua Preciosa Enterprises LLP, we believe that sustainable water management is not just a necessity—it’s a responsibility. In collaboration with the Palkhed Divisin of Irrigation Department, Nashik, Maharashtra, we’re proud to be at the forefront of a pioneering initiative that leverages technology to secure the future of water in one of India’s key agricultural and industrial regions.
The Smart Water Monitoring Project marks a significant shift from conventional water distribution to a more intelligent, transparent, and responsive system. Focused primarily on irrigation customers (while not ignoring non-irrigation applications), including farmers, agri-enterprises, and industrial users, the project involves the deployment of SCADA- based smart water meters across the Nashik region.
These solutions form the backbone of a real-time monitoring network, offering granular visibility into water consumption patterns. By automating data collection and analysis, our system enables authorities to identify and respond proactively to anomalies, enforce responsible usage, and maintain equitable distribution.
Nashik is a region that thrives on water—from essential crops, award winning vineyards, to processing units and rural settlements. But rising demand, erratic monsoons, and legacy infrastructure have put increasing pressure on its water resources. This project isn't just about monitoring and dashboards—it's about preserving the lifeblood of the region through intelligent infrastructure and long-term sustainable solutions.
This initiative is rooted in impact, with clear and measurable goals:
Multiple airport zones lacked metered tracking, making it difficult to pinpoint high-usage areas or detect leaks. This blind spot in monitoring created a cascade of operational challenges that affected the entire facility's efficiency.
Threshold-based alerts automatically flag excessive or unauthorized use, allowing for rapid intervention and conservation, especially during high-demand periods.
With detailed consumption analytics, the Irrigation Department can plan allocations, detect leaks or inefficiencies, and optimize distribution schedules based on actual usage patterns.
By minimizing waste and controlling overuse, the project intends to contribute directly to the sustainability of regional water bodies—ensuring water security for future generations.
With access to reliable usage data, farmers can adopt more efficient irrigation practices, while industries can align with environmental compliance and resource management goals.
This project is just the beginning. At Agua Preciosa, we envision a future where smart water infrastructure becomes the norm—enabling regions like Nashik to grow, adapt, and thrive without compromising their environmental foundations.
As implementation continues, we remain committed to providing technology that serves people and the planet, reinforcing our mission to make every drop count.
